Privacy at Spreadcheck
Spreadcheck sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising script and has no accounts; the API 1169 practice questions run entirely in your browser tab. The one thing we record is a press of the "Get the app" button, logged on our server when the click arrives, and this page lists every field in that record.

Spreadcheck privacy at a glance, reviewed October 2026.
If you want to rule out the one record we keep ourselves, the answer is simple: do not press "Get the app". Every page, the practice questions and the study material work the same without it.
What happens in your browser
When you open a page, your browser downloads it, its fonts and, on pages with questions, a small data file with the answers and option notes. All of it comes from this site's own address; no page calls a third-party server for fonts, scripts or images.
The question feed keeps your picks, your struck options and your running tally in the page's memory. Nothing is written to cookies or browser storage, and nothing is sent back as you answer. Reload the page or press Restart and the slate is clean, which is also why your score does not follow you from one page to the next.
Browser
Host
What our hosting sees
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider whose servers handle each request. That provider keeps routine request records, such as the IP address, time and page asked for, to deliver pages and fend off abuse, and it gives us aggregate traffic counts. We do not use those records to build a profile of any visitor.
Google also reports to us, through Search Console, which searches showed this site and how often people clicked through. Those figures arrive as totals per query and page; they do not identify you.
The "Get the app" button and its click log
The button does not link to the App Store directly. It goes to our own short address, go.api1169review.com, which sends an iPhone or iPad straight on to the App Store and shows a computer a small page with the store badge and a link back to the practice questions. At that hop, after it has already sent you on, our server writes one line to a click log.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Page and button | Which page you were on and which button on it you pressed |
| Device type | The operating system, read from your browser's user-agent string |
| Browser details | The user-agent string itself and the referring page address |
| Network | Your IP address and the network provider it belongs to |
| Approximate place | Country, region, city and time zone as estimated from the IP address by the network, not by GPS |
| Destination | Whether you went on to the App Store or to the practice questions on this site |
What the log does not do: it sets no cookie, stores no identifier on your device, runs no script in your browser and records nothing until you press the button. Link checkers and browser prefetches that only peek at the address are not logged.
We use the log for one purpose: to see which pages and which button positions lead people to the app and on to installing it, so the pages that help get more care. It is not sold, rented or handed to advertisers or data brokers.
App log
Leave
After you leave this site
The App Store link carries a campaign label naming this website, which lets the store report how many downloads came from Spreadcheck. The label names the site, not you.
From that point Apple's privacy terms cover what the App Store does, and the app, if you install it, has its own privacy policy, shown on its store listing. Links to API, Prometric, OSHA, eCFR and FERC pages take you to those organisations, whose own policies apply; we learn nothing about what you do there.
Questions, requests and changes
Because the site keeps no account, no email and no cookie, there is nothing to link a click log line to your name. If you want to ask about the log or about this policy, use the developer support route described on the contact page; we will answer there. The about page says who runs the site and that API has no part in it.
If what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the review date in the summary above moves with it.
The four lines to remember
- No cookies, no analytics script, no accounts.
- Quiz answers stay in your tab and vanish on reload.
- One server-side log line per press of "Get the app", at
go.api1169review.com. - Skip the button and the only trace of your visit is the host's routine request record.
